Wow, a strong show! And an excellent audience. They spanned the spectrum tonight: intense listeners, jaw-droppers, table sitters, tree-dancing geekdoms, young grooving happy boys, and even girls with a swing in their hips. What's happening here? Is Crimson becoming a dance band? Let's see how far this can go.

It wasn't an easy night. I mean as a player. The performance, itself, flowed quite well. But, since we had a day off yesterday and we didn't get into soundcheck until around 6:00pm.... well..... it was just a little difficult to plug right back into the material. (Lord, it makes me wonder what taking 3 months off is going to do to my sense of being plugged in.) I really felt that I had to be on the ball to get through Larks'. At least at the beginning of it. I felt that I could easily lose the form tonight. But, I didn't and my fears were quickly soothed away as we entered into Robert's 'flying fingers of fate' section.

More Philly tomorrow.
